The package arrived in its own box in perfect condition in my case without the need for an over-box. The actual lighted area is 3-5/8 X 21-3/8 inches and is suitable for a 6 X 8-foot closet or utility space and is dimmable. At slightly under one-inch thick, it practically disappears on the ceiling. Nothing except the wire nut connections protrude into the junction box. The mounting hardware is well designed and allows the fixture to fit tight against the ceiling.

This is one very clean-looking and easy to install light fixture.
